Schneider Electric has unveiled the results of the first quarter of its new sustainability roadmap, 'Impact 2030'. The company is fully launching a mid-to-long-term strategy centered on energy electrification and industrial innovation, while expanding the scope of its sustainability activities to include customers, supply chains, and local communities.

Schneider Electric announced on May 11 that it recorded a sustainability score of 3.40 out of 10 for the first quarter of 2026. This is an early result toward the annual target of 4.20, reflecting not only its own operations but also customer support, supply chain engagement, and community activities.

'Impact 2030' is composed of four pillars: expanding energy electrification, industrial innovation, strengthening talent capabilities, and supporting local communities. Each area is managed based on implementation programs and quantitative indicators, and it serves as an extension of Schneider Electric's existing sustainability strategy to 2030.

Key achievements were demonstrated in greenhouse gas reduction and energy efficiency improvement. Schneider Electric explained that it reduced carbon dioxide emissions under Scope 1 and 2 standards by 82.5% compared to 2017. In addition, it supported customers' energy savings and transition to electrification through energy management, automation, and digital solutions, amounting to 47.5 million MWh. This resulted in an estimated reduction and avoidance of approximately 20 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

The incorporation of environmental standards into the product development process is also expanding. Schneider Electric stated that it is increasing the application of its 'Future-designed' framework, and that 14% of its major product lines currently in the design phase incorporate circular economy and environmental performance standards.

In the supply chain sector, participation in the decarbonization program 'Zero Carbon Pathway' increased. During the first quarter, more than 1,100 new suppliers joined, and a significant number of them participated in training sessions to strengthen their decarbonization implementation capabilities.

Achievements continued in the fields of community development and talent cultivation. More than 2.8 million people benefited from sustainable power through community-based solutions supported by Schneider Electric, and 113,000 people participated in training programs for energy, electrification, and automation technologies. Since 2009, the cumulative number of beneficiaries of training has exceeded 1.2 million.

Ester Pinidori, Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) at Schneider Electric, explained that Impact 2030 is an implementation framework that encompasses various stakeholders and aims to accumulate quarterly performance through specific and measurable goals.
