Expanding AWS Marketplace Availability and Strengthening Data Protection and Recovery Frameworks
Cohesive announced on the 19th that it has obtained AWS's 'Resilience Competency' certification. This certification is granted to partners capable of supporting the improvement of availability, security, and resilience for customer workloads running on AWS.
This certification is the result of recognition that Cohesity provides solutions equipped with data protection and recovery capabilities in cloud-native and hybrid environments. Cohesity explained that it supports enterprises in protecting and recovering critical data in the event of ransomware attacks, infrastructure failures, and operational disruptions.
Cohesity provides integrated data protection, cybersecurity, and recovery functions on an AI-based platform. This allows companies to reduce the complexity arising from operating various security and backup tools individually, and to consistently manage protection, detection, and recovery procedures.
Cohesive is also expanding its availability through the AWS Marketplace. It offers proven resilience solutions on the AWS Marketplace and supports multi-currency payments by region. Customers can deploy solutions within the existing AWS purchasing framework and simplify budget execution and vendor management.
Kit Bell, Chief Revenue Officer of Cohesion, stated that this certification demonstrates Cohesion's direction to strengthen its resilience system proactively, going beyond recovery after an accident occurs.
Lee Sang-hoon, Country Manager of Kohecity Korea, said that with this certification, domestic customers using AWS can reduce the burden of separate verification and adopt modern data protection solutions.
Customer case studies were also presented. Shane McDaniel, Chief Information Officer of Seguin, Texas, stated that the adoption of AWS-based Cohesion simplified core workload protection and recovery procedures, and established a system capable of rapid recovery even in the event of operational failures or cyber attacks.
