Samsung Electronics is expanding its 2026 Odyssey lineup with the industry's first gaming monitor supporting 6K resolution. By introducing both ultra-high-resolution LCD products and 4K OLED models, the company is broadening product options in the high-end gaming monitor market.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 20th that it is launching four new 2026 Odyssey gaming monitors. The product lineup consists of the 32-inch 6K 'Odyssey G8 (G80HS)', the 27-inch 5K 'Odyssey G8 (G80HF)', the 4K OLED model 'Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH)', and the 32-inch 4K OLED model 'Odyssey OLED G7 (G73SH)'.

The 32-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HS) supports a resolution of 6144×3456 and features a dual mode that switches between 6K at 165Hz and 3K at 330Hz. The 27-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HF) supports a resolution of 5120×2880 and a refresh rate of up to 180Hz, and can be used up to 360Hz at QHD resolution. Both products support DisplayPort 2.1, NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible certification, AMD FreeSync Premium, and HDR10+ gaming features.

The OLED product lineup is also being expanded. The Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH) will be released in 27-inch and 32-inch sizes, offering 4K resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz. It features a glare-free function to reduce light reflection and 98W USB-C charging, and utilizes QD-OLED Penta Tandem technology. The 32-inch model has also obtained VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. The Odyssey OLED G7 (G73SH) is a 32-inch 4K OLED model that supports a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz and dual modes of FHD and 330Hz.

The launch prices are 1.89 million won for the 32-inch 6K Odyssey G8, 1.19 million won for the 27-inch 5K Odyssey G8, 1.75 million won for the 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8, 1.55 million won for the 27-inch Odyssey OLED G8, and 1.39 million won for the Odyssey OLED G7.

Samsung Electronics will permanently operate experience spaces for the 2026 Odyssey G8 at 'Maple Azit' in Gangnam, Seoul, and 'T1 Base Camp' in Mapo. Launch commemorative benefits will be available from May 20 to 31, offering purchasing customers a 3-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and discounts on Harman gaming gear.

According to IDC, Samsung Electronics ranked first in the global gaming monitor market in 2025 with an 18.9% market share based on value. It also maintained the top spot in the OLED monitor market for three consecutive years with a 26% market share based on value.
