Schneider Electric Korea is holding an 'Innovation Day' targeting semiconductor manufacturing sites, where the burden of power management and automation has increased due to the spread of AI. The event is designed to share strategies for advanced manufacturing operations, such as power infrastructure, digital twins, and predictive maintenance, with the semiconductor industry and equipment manufacturers.

The event will be held on Tuesday, June 23, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Convention Hall on the 3rd floor of the Suwon Convention Center. The theme is 'Presenting the Future Direction of the Semiconductor Industry through AI-Based Innovation,' and the official name is 'Innovation Day: EcoStruxure for Semiconductor 2026.'

Recently, semiconductor manufacturing sites are moving beyond simple automation to a stage of AI-based operations and autonomy. In particular, as power consumption in fabs increases, power quality, equipment stability, and energy management are emerging as factors directly linked to productivity. As manufacturing equipment becomes more sophisticated, momentary power outages or equipment shutdowns can lead to production losses, increasing the need for data-driven operating systems.

The event covers power and automation strategies to respond to these changes. Experts from Schneider Electric Korea will introduce the current status and application cases of the global semiconductor industry, as well as smart power quality management, digital twin-based power operations, UPS power infrastructure, and energy crisis management using digital circuit breakers.

AI-based predictive maintenance is also included as a major topic. Methods to identify equipment status in advance and improve maintenance efficiency through ATVPREDICT solutions targeting variable-speed power drive systems will be shared. This aligns with the growing importance of uninterrupted operation and equipment stability in semiconductor fabs.

An 'Innovation Hub' will also be set up on-site to showcase Schneider Electric's key products and technologies. The demo tour will be conducted twice; the morning session will focus on power infrastructure and distribution strategies based on digital twins and predictive insights, while the afternoon session will center on AI-based industrial automation and the direction of smart equipment deployment.
