Nota shared the necessity of edge AI optimization technologies in response to the proliferation of physical AI at the NVIDIA Asia-Pacific Partner Event. The message was that for AI to operate in real-time in physical spaces such as cities and industrial sites, technologies that reduce reliance on the cloud and process data close to the site are crucial.

Nota announced on the 2nd that CTO and Co-founder Kim Tae-ho participated in a panel talk at the 'NVIDIA APAC Robotics and Edge AI Partner Day' hosted by NVIDIA during Computex 2026 in Taipei, Taiwan. The event was organized for partners in the robotics and edge AI fields to discuss the application directions of physical AI, smart cities, industrial site intelligence, and vision AI agents.

The topic of the panel discussion in which CTO Kim participated was 'How Physical AI is Helping Transform Smart Spaces.' The session discussed how AI recognizes situations and supports decision-making in real-world spaces, such as cities, roads, ports, and industrial sites, based on camera and sensor data.

Physical AI is a concept in which AI operates in physical space beyond the digital environment, and on-site data processing capabilities are treated as important. Particularly in fields requiring real-time response, such as transportation, manufacturing, and safety management, data transmission delays, network environments, and personal information protection issues are cited as key considerations for technology application.

Nota explained that in this environment, on-device AI and edge AI optimization technologies can serve as the foundation for implementing AI services. Running AI models on field equipment without transmitting all data to cloud servers reduces response times and allows for adaptation to operational environment constraints.

Nota also stated that the way video data is utilized is changing due to advancements in vision language models and vision AI agents. The explanation is that while traditional video surveillance was centered on screen verification, it can expand in the future to allow AI to interpret on-site context and summarize necessary information to assist operators in their decision-making.

“In the era of physical AI, the ability of AI to perceive and make judgments in real physical environments is becoming increasingly important,” said CTO Kim Tae-ho. “Nota has focused on implementing edge AI that operates in cities, transportation, and industrial sites based on on-device AI optimization technology.”

Nota has been selected as an NVIDIA Connect Partner and has a history of winning at the NVIDIA Nemotron Hackathon. The company stated that at this event, it shared field-oriented AI application cases and technical challenges with partners in the fields of robotics and edge AI.

Meanwhile, Nota also attended the 'NVIDIA Korea Partner Night' held in Taipei during the same period. At the event, NVIDIA and major domestic companies shared technology trends related to AI infrastructure, physical AI, and robotics.
