Vector Launches Next-Generation Vehicle Diagnostic 'SOVD Integrated Toolchain'

Vector Korea (Country Manager Jang Ji-hwan) announced on the 14th that it has launched an end-to-end toolchain to enable original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and parts suppliers to adopt SOVD into next-generation vehicle architectures.
SOVD is a standard technology that enables diagnostics to be performed using a unified API (Application Programming Interface) in both software-based vehicles and conventional mechatronics vehicles.
Vector Korea explained that it combined existing proven tools and newly developed technologies into a single toolchain.
The core component of this toolchain is the newly added 'SOVD Explorer'.
It was announced that it is a dedicated tool designed to diagnose both individual parts and the entire vehicle, providing intuitive access to all SOVD API functions, structured visualization of vehicle status, and automation options.
To assist with initial adoption, the 'Vector SOVD Starter Kit,' which bundles the SOVD Explorer with the 'SOVD Classic Diagnostic Adapter,' is also provided.
Vector Korea also presented a three-stage implementation model to support the gradual transition of companies.
In the first stage, the SOVD concept is tested in an existing UDS (Integrated Vehicle Diagnostics)-based environment without vehicle modification; in the second stage, performance and resource consumption are measured within the vehicle network; and in the third stage, the SOVD stack is fully integrated into the vehicle architecture.
Vector Korea announced that it also operates engineering services, proof-of-concept (PoC) projects, and professional training programs.

Vector Korea Acquires RocqStat, Promoting Integration of Timing and WCET Verification

With the proliferation of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV), vehicle control architecture is being restructured around high-performance central computing and lightweight edge nodes, making development efficiency for small ECUs increasingly important. Vector Korea and Microchip have launched a pre-integrated embedded solution combining the dsPIC33A digital signal controller and MICROSAR IO.
