Siemens Energy, which was spun off from Siemens AG in 2020, is embarking on a transition to an independent brand system. This measure comes as the expiration of the brand usage license agreement signed at the time of the spin-off, and is expected to serve as an opportunity to integrate the entire energy business under a single identity.

Siemens Energy announced on the 16th that it is integrating Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy under a single name, 'Omterra'.

The rebranding is scheduled to be implemented in stages starting from the end of 2026.

Christian Bruch, CEO of Siemens Energy, stated, “It was agreed that the current company name would be used temporarily from the time of the spin-off,” adding, “We determined that now is the opportune time to transition to an independent brand, having established a stable foundation across strategy, operations, and finance and improved profitability.”

He added, “The name Siemens served as a stepping stone for early growth, but now it is time to define our own direction in the future energy market with a new name.”

The new company name 'Omtera' was selected to target the global market.

The company explained that the name embodies energy supply stability and global business capabilities.

The company emphasized that this rebranding does not affect corporate strategy or business direction.

It was announced that services and operating systems for existing customers, partners, and employees will be maintained as is.

Siemens Energy currently has more than 105,000 employees in over 90 countries, and recorded revenue of approximately 39.1 billion euros in the 2025 fiscal year.

It is estimated that about one-sixth of global electricity production is generated through this company's technology.
