AI security company SentinelOne and domestic MDR specialist Pagonetworks are launching the AI-based joint security operations service 'Hybrid MDR' and strengthening their efforts to penetrate the domestic and APJ markets.

Pagonetworks (CEO Kwon Young-mok) held a press conference on the 16th and unveiled a new joint service model combining SentinelOne's 'Wayfinder Threat Hunting' and Pagonetworks' 24x7 MDR operational capabilities.

Hybrid MDR is not simply a method of supplying security solutions; rather, it is a model in which the MDR organizations of both SentinelOne and Pagonetworks collaborate like a single security operations team to support the client's threat detection, analysis, and response.

At a press conference, Kwon Young-mok, CEO of Pagonetworks, stated, “The hybrid MDR model is about delivering a single security operation using two MDR teams,” and explained that the company would provide customers with a higher level of response system by combining SentinelOne’s AI-based defense platform with Pagonetworks’ MDR operation platform.

According to the announcement, the hybrid MDR provides a single service that includes SentinelOne Wayfinder Threat Hunting, which proactively identifies new threats based on Google Threat Intelligence; PAGO 24x7 MDR Operations, where expert security analysts respond 24/7 based on operational experience accumulated in the Korean and APJ markets; and a flexible security operations model that can be expanded to NDR and CTEM depending on changes in the customer environment.

CEO Kwon Young-mok stated, “From the customer’s perspective, while they adopt the SentinelOne platform, there can be confusion if the vendor’s MDR and Pagonetworks’ MDR exist separately,” adding, “The Hybrid MDR originated from the idea of combining the strengths of both MDRs into one to deliver to the customer.”

He emphasized that existing customers can apply Wayfinder MDR without incurring additional costs, and announced that the joint MDR model would be offered to existing Pagonetworks customers as well as future new customers.

He explained that behavior-based detection and on-device AI response are crucial for preventing sophisticated attacks, and that immediate response must be possible right where the threat occurs.

In particular, Wayfinder was introduced as “a proactive service that detects threats ahead of attackers, rather than responding after a breach has already occurred.”

This collaboration targets a market environment characterized by a shortage of security personnel and increasing operational burdens.

SentinelOne provides global-level threat intelligence through Wayfinder Threat Hunting, while Pagonetworks performs detection, investigation, analysis, and response tailored to customer environments based on its proprietary MDR center and DeepACT-based operational experience.

CEO Kwon Young-mok also revealed plans for Pagonetworks to promote an operating system connecting Korea, Canada, and Indonesia to provide high-quality 24-hour services.

The trust relationship between the two companies is also cited as the background for the launch of this service.

Pagone Networks was named SentinelOne APJ MSSP Partner of the Year for two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025, and Vice President Chris Day emphasized Pagone Networks' role in the Korean market, noting that customers want tangible security results rather than licenses or solutions themselves.
