LG Electronics Wins 12 'Energy Winner Awards'... Industry Record for 10 Consecutive Years

LG Electronics won a total of 12 main awards, including three Grand Prizes, at the 29th 'Energy Winner Awards of the Year'. It is a record of the most awards in the industry for 10 consecutive years.
LG Electronics announced on the 21st that it won 12 awards at the awards ceremony hosted by the Consumer Citizens' Movement and sponsored by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Korea Energy Agency.
The Energy Winner Award is given to products and technologies with excellent energy efficiency and saving effects.
The new LG Whisen AI Objet Collection Tower I air conditioner, LG E-paper display, and LG Dios AI Objet Collection dishwasher were selected for the Grand Prize.
The Whisen Tower I air conditioner also received the Minister of Climate, Energy and Environment Award.
The company explained that this product is the first to feature the 'AI Cold Free' function, which controls temperature and humidity simultaneously, and increases cooling efficiency by up to 13% and reduces electricity costs by up to 11.5% compared to products with the same cooling capacity.
ePaper Display also won the Korea Energy Agency Chairman's Award.
It was announced that it is a commercial display that maintains the screen without a power supply, and reduces power consumption by more than 99% compared to existing digital signage by applying ultra-low power system control technology and high-efficiency battery management technology.
The selection of a new dishwasher product as the Grand Prize winner is the first in the dishwasher category since the Energy Winner Awards began in 1997.
With the new drying technology, electricity consumption is reduced by about 10% compared to the existing method, and water consumption is also reduced by about 18% through the optimization of the internal structure.
The cleaning time is reduced by approximately 24 minutes.
The LG PuriCare Objet Collection Ice Water Purifier, LG Dios AI Objet Collection STEM Basic Refrigerator, and Fit&Max Convertible Drawer were named for the Energy Technology Awards.
The ice water purifier reduces monthly power consumption by approximately 24% compared to existing products, and the refrigerator was launched last year. The company stated that it is possible to reduce energy consumption by more than 22% compared to the model.
The Energy Winner Awards were presented to the Therma V R290 Monoblock Heat Pump, Whisen AI Objet Collection Dual Cool Wall-mounted Air Conditioner, Home System Air Conditioner, PuriCare Bath Air System, Tromm AI Objet Collection Wash Combo, Styler Objet Collection (3 Garments), and PuriCare Objet Collection Water Purifier (Slim Stand).
Jeong Jae-woong, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Value Innovation at LG Electronics, said, “We will continue to introduce products and solutions that contribute to a sustainable future through technological innovations that enhance energy efficiency.”

LG Electronics Expands 2026 Whisen View... Extends AI to Entry-Level Air Conditioners
LG Electronics expanded its Whisen View air conditioner lineup by launching the "2026 LG Whisen AI Object Collection View I" on March 19. The new product maintains the "CleanView" function that allows users to open and clean the unit themselves, while extending the radar sensor and comfort dehumidification features—previously available mainly in higher-end models—to affordable models as well. Since its initial launch in 2024, the Whisen View series has experienced rapid sales growth, with sales volume last year increasing 86% year-over-year and accounting for approximately half of LG Electronics' stand-type air conditioner sales. LG Electronics plans to expand the View series to six models this year and simultaneously introduce the "Whisen Cool Pro" with enhanced air flow control capabilities, continuing its strategy to capture the AI air conditioner market.
