Samsung Electronics continued its streak of winning the highest rating at Korea's leading energy efficiency awards for eight consecutive years, spearheaded by its high-efficiency AI home appliance lineup. AI-based energy-saving technologies and product lines incorporating heat pumps were evenly distributed on the award list.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 21st that it won a total of 10 awards, including the Energy Grand Prize, at the '29th Energy Winner Awards,' hosted by the Consumer Citizens' Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Korea Energy Agency.

The Energy Award is given to the most outstanding product among high-efficiency products, and Samsung Electronics has received this award for eight consecutive years since 2019.

The winner of this year's Energy Award is the 'Bespoke AI Windless Combo Gallery Pro' air conditioner.

We also received the Minister of Climate, Energy and Environment Award.

This product is equipped with an 'absence power saving' function that automatically adjusts cooling output by detecting the absence of a user using a motion radar sensor, and is known to provide up to 42% energy savings.

The company explained that the 'comfortable dehumidification' function applied last year refines refrigerant control using a humidity sensor, reducing energy consumption by up to 30% compared to conventional dehumidification.

The 'Infinite Line Hood-Integrated Induction Cooktop' won the 'Energy Technology Award,' which is given to products with excellent energy efficiency technology.

This product, released in April of this year, delivers a maximum heat output of 7,400W when all burners are used simultaneously, while achieving Grade 1 energy efficiency.

A hood is built into the center of the induction cooktop to remove smoke and odors generated during cooking, and it supports a 'Smart Mode' that automatically adjusts suction power using a Total Volatile Organic Compound (TVOC) detection sensor.

Samsung Electronics also won an additional Energy Winner Award with seven home appliances featuring heat pumps and AI energy-saving technology.

The award-winning product is △EHS Heat PumpThe products are the Pro Boiler, Bespoke AI Combo Washer-Dryer, Bespoke AI Hybrid Refrigerator, AI Wind-Free Combo Pro Wall-Mounted Air Conditioner, Infinite AI Induction Cooktop, Bespoke AI Jet Light Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner, and Galaxy Book 6 Pro.

The company stated that the 'EHS heat pump boiler,' which was introduced to the domestic market for the first time this year, is a heating solution that utilizes outdoor air heat and electricity, recording a Seasonal Performance Coefficient (SCOP) of 4.9 and producing about five times the heating energy compared to power consumption.

It was explained that the 'Bespoke AI Hybrid' refrigerator applies 'AI Hybrid Cooling' technology, which combines a compressor and Peltier semiconductor elements, to save up to 35% of energy compared to the lowest standard of Grade 1 energy efficiency.
