The only comprehensive white paper on materials in Korea has been newly published as a 2025 edition.


The Korea Institute of Materials Science has published the 'Materials Technology White Paper 2025,' which provides an integrated analysis of the current status of policies, research and development, and industry in the domestic and international materials sector.

This year's edition has been structured to enhance the provision of statistical data-based information, enabling a quick overview of the competitiveness of South Korea's materials industry.

The white paper is published annually to establish national strategies for the materials sector and respond to the demands of R&D policies, and it is the only white paper in Korea that comprehensively covers the materials field.

The white paper included domestic and international policy trends in the materials sector, the current status of research and development, and the current status of the materials industry.

The research institute explained that this year's edition, in particular, has significantly reinforced its information provision capabilities based on statistical data, enabling an objective assessment of the current situation centered on numbers.
