CEO Moon Sung-soo, who possesses both field experience and management background in the fields of CAE and engineering simulation, has joined Synopsys Korea as the head of the Simulation & Analytics (S&A) business. This recruitment comes at a time when the company aims to strengthen its presence in the Korean market following the merger of Synopsys and Ansys.


Synopsys announced on the 3rd that new CEO Moon Sung-soo officially took office as the Head of S&A Business at Synopsys Korea on July 6.

CEO Moon began his career at Kia Motors as a Crashworthiness engineer.

Subsequently, he served as the Representative of Altair Korea, Senior Vice President for APAC, and Senior Vice President for Japan and Korea, and held the position of Vice President of Global Simulation at Siemens Digital Industries Software.

He has over 20 years of experience overseeing sales and business operations in the field of CAE and engineering simulation.

He led the Asia-Pacific business at Altair for over 10 years and subsequently took charge of global simulation strategy at Siemens Digital Industries Software.

Both companies are major players in the engineering simulation market, and CEO Moon has experience in sales, customer success, and overall business operations in the field.
