Phase One Launch with 1,800 Units, Progressing to Over 8,800 Units Total

Domestic AI semiconductor company Puriosa AI is participating in a large-scale AI data center project being constructed in Stockholm, Sweden.

On the 5th, Puriosa AI announced its participation in the construction of a 15MW-scale AI data center in Stockholm in collaboration with U.S. AI infrastructure company I/ONX HPC and data center developer and operator Velox.

In phase one, a 2MW-scale facility will commence operations in early 2027, with an additional 8MW to be constructed within the year.

Long-term expansion plans extend to 15MW in a phased approach.

Puriosa AI will supply 1,800 RNGD (Renegade) units in phase one, with a total of 8,800 or more units planned to be deployed across all expansion phases.

The RNGD is integrated into I/ONX HPC's high-density AI server platform Symphony SixtyFour, forming a heterogeneous AI computing environment alongside GPUs.

The architecture assigns large language model and agentic AI inference to RNGD, while GPU handles model training and other general-purpose computation.

Puriosa AI provides RNGD hardware and software stack, Velox handles data center development and operations, and I/ONX HPC manages systems integration and AI platform.

Major European countries are pursuing sovereign AI acquisition and sustainable AI infrastructure development centered on power efficiency as policy objectives, with growing demand for high-efficiency AI inference infrastructure.

Sweden, with its stable power grid and robust data center ecosystem, plans for this facility to provide AI inference services to enterprises and cloud service providers across Europe.
