SK Telecom (SKT) is joining forces with global multi-cloud security company F5 to accelerate its AI cloud security business. With the proliferation of Agentic AI expanding connections between services, SKT plans to strengthen security capabilities across AI infrastructure and target the enterprise market through this collaboration.

 

SKT announced on the 16th that it has concluded a partnership with F5 for AI cloud security business cooperation.

 

F5 is a security company headquartered in Seattle, USA, and supplies solutions to over 90% of Fortune 500 companies worldwide.

 

Through this partnership, SKT has acquired △Web Application Firewall (WAF) △API security △DDoS attack defense △Bot attack defense technologies based on F5 Distributed Cloud.

 

Lee Hyung-wook, Country Manager of F5 Korea, stated: "We have established a partnership with SKT at a time when F5 Distributed Cloud service regions are being installed in Korea. The enhanced security solution tailored to the Agentic AI era will create synergy by combining with SKT's customer service foundation."

 

Huh Min-hoe, SKT AI Cloud Manager, said: "We are expanding our enterprise AI infrastructure business based on infrastructure assets including AI data centers, GPUaaS, and circuits. By combining F5 technology, we will be able to propose enhanced solutions targeting large enterprise customers."
