Samsung Electronics has launched an IoT access point (AP, model name: WEA403Si) that supports Zigbee and Bluetooth Low Energy interfaces, which are short-range wireless communication methods for the Internet of Things.

Currently, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and Bluetooth account for about 70% of short-range wireless communication technologies for the Internet of Things, and Samsung Electronics' new IoT access point supports all of these technologies.

In addition, it supports 802.11ac to provide high-speed wireless LAN services at speeds of 1.3Gbps and can be utilized to provide various Internet of Things services such as location, lighting control, and building energy management.

Samsung Electronics also released a mesh-type outdoor access point (model name: WEA463e), a successor to the outdoor access point (model name: WEA453e) released earlier this year.

The newly released mesh outdoor access point is a product that connects access points via Wi-Fi instead of wired network cables, which require significant installation costs.

This enables the overcoming of physical limitations and allows for a significant reduction in installation costs.r />
