Universal Robots appears poised to focus on the Korean market through three domestic distributors.

Universal Robots announced that it has additionally selected True Engineering Solutions Co., Ltd., Korea's first developer of vacuum robots for the semiconductor and display industries, and A&G Technology Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of quality testing equipment for finished vehicle, engine, and transmission production lines in the automotive industry, as official distributors for Universal Robots in Korea. With this, Universal Robots has joined hands with three domestic distributors, including its existing distributor Vision Semicon Co., Ltd., to enter the Korean market.

TES Co., Ltd., a new partner of Universal Robots, has the largest domestic track record of vacuum and atmospheric robots used in manufacturing process equipment in the semiconductor, display, and solar energy industries, and is a company that provides optimized robot solutions based on accumulated technology and know-how.

“The purpose of signing this contract with Universal Robots is to actively respond to the needs of customers who want to implement a smart factory,” said Jongpil Cheon, Sales and Marketing Director of TES Co., Ltd. “By actively utilizing Universal Robots’ greatest strength, ‘flexibility,’ we will pursue the diversity of products supplied to existing display and semiconductor customers, while also seeking ways to cooperate as an automation solution partner utilizing S/W and control technology for new mass production lines such as bio, cosmetics, and food.”

Another partner, A&G Technology Co., Ltd., has been supplying various research and development equipment and line inspection equipment for vehicles since 1987, and is currently a major supplier of automotive testing equipment, including development and supply, to 12 advanced overseas automotive testing facilities.
