Teledyne LeCroy Launches Multi-Application Vector Signal Analysis Option
Published2015.12.14 11:46Teledyne LeCroy ( http://teledynelecroy.co.kr ) has expanded the range of industries that use its oscilloscopes by introducing the VectorLinQ vector signal analysis software option.
VectorLinQ can analyze and precisely visualize signal types and symbol positions for standard modulation schemes such as n-PSK, n-QAM, circular QAM, ASK, and FSK, as well as non-standard schemes. The VectorLinQ software includes functions for receiving and demodulating RF signals for analysis, or directly receiving and analyzing baseband I and Q signals.
VectorLinQ operates using a unique, intuitive model that allows for immediate understanding of signal flow by arranging user-defined processing blocks that simplify highly complex analyses. Basic processing blocks include a mixer, filter, phase estimator, and equalizer. Users can add their own MATLAB processing blocks to any part of the processing block to perform custom processing.
The VectorLinQ VSA analyzes and displays demodulated waveforms in a variety of ways. The IQ constellation diagram helps identify signal quality issues such as amplitude imbalance, quadrature phase error, and phase noise. Users can view I and Q components, amplitude, power, phase, and EVM as traces on the time axis. It provides an eye diagram of the demodulated waveform, providing deeper insight into signal quality. It also provides a built-in spectral analysis function, allowing for spectral observation of the entire input signal and the I and Q components separately.
The VectorLinQ VSA is compatible with Teledyne LeCroy WavePro 7Zi, WaveMaster 8Zi, LabMaster 9Zi, and LabMaster 10Zi oscilloscopes running firmware 7.9x or later.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
