97dB Min CMRR, Provides Gain Error Maximum ±35ppm

Linear Technology Korea (CEO Hong Sa-kwak) announced the launch of a monolithic gain differential amplifier with precision matched resistors (product name: LT6375). This product precisely adjusts and buffers level even with weak differential signals while removing common mode up to ±270V. The Grade A version achieves the following outstanding performance: CMRR is a minimum of 97dB, initial gain error is 35ppm (max), gain drift is 1ppm/°C (max), and gain nonlinearity is 2ppm (max) at a 25:1 common mode division ratio. The common mode division ratio can be selected between 7:1 and 25:1, allowing designers to choose the ratio with the best performance suited to the given common mode input range.

The most important core of the LT6375 is a high precision Over-The-Top® amplifier that operates within a 3.3V to 50V power supply voltage range or above as input. This allows the combination of a wide input range and low voltage power supply. Using a low voltage power supply limits power consumption and protects the circuit from high voltage.

Maziar Tavakoli, Design Manager of the Signal Conditioning Products Business Unit, stated, "The LT6375 integrates a high precision wide voltage range Over-The-Top amplifier and configurable precision matched resistors. Because seven different division ratios can be selected, precision, noise, and speed can be optimized to meet specific input range requirements. For example, when the input common mode range is ±80V, selecting resistor division ratio 7 compared to the condition of selecting division ratio 20 can achieve lower noise, lower offset, and wider bandwidth.

The LT6375 includes other useful features including rail-to-rail output, low quiescent current, and shutdown mode. It is available in 4mm x 4mm 12-pin DFN and 12-pin 4mm length MSOP. Both packages are configured in skipped lead form for additional spacing of high voltage input signals.

The LT6375 is guaranteed to operate in the temperature range of –40°C to 85°C (Grade I) and –40°C to 25°C (Grade H), and is priced at $2.95 per unit based on a quantity of 1,000.
