Five certified devices passed the final test

Dream Security announced on the 14th that it has obtained the global official certification (FIDO UAF Certified) of FIDO (Fast Identity Online) for its biometric authentication solution (Magic FIDO).

Dream Security passed the final certification process for five products, including a FIDO server, FIDO clients for Android and iOS, and authentication devices, in the interoperability certification test conducted at the UAF Interoperability Testing Events in California, USA in December last year.
The FIDO UAF (Universal Authentication Framework) certification acquired by Dream Security enables security implementation and authentication using biometric information without a password, enabling the establishment of a close cooperative system with domestic and foreign FIDO companies and interoperability of FIDO standard technologies. In particular, in this certification test, Dream Security played a pivotal role in overseas product and service linkage, securing compatibility with biometric authentication devices around the world as well as compatibility with iPhones.

FIDO technology applies biometric information such as fingerprints, irises, faces, and voice recognition of devices online, replacing web server authentication with device authentication without password input. Even if passwords are leaked due to hacking, etc., the problem only affects the site in question, and the damage does not spread further.is impossible. In addition, since user authentication information is not transmitted over the network, there is no need to worry about user information being stolen, and even if the terminal is lost, others cannot use it illegally without the user's biometric information.

Park Ki-jun, Director of Dream Security's PKI Innovation Center, stated, "FIDO technology will be applied to various authentication services, including public certificate 2.0, which combines existing public certificates with biometric authentication. In particular, if businesses requiring biometric authentication services, such as internet banking and payment authentication, adopt FIDO biometric authentication solutions, vulnerable groups, such as middle-aged and older adults who are unfamiliar with online authentication and payments, will be able to easily utilize these services. Dream Security will lead the authentication market with a biometric authentication solution (Magic FIDO) that can be easily applied to authentication services that have been previously secure but inconvenient."
