Minimizes 'darkness' and improves light uniformity

Samsung Electronics is launching 'inFlux,' a high-luminous flux LED module optimized for industrial lighting, and is setting out to aggressively target the LED module market. Luminous flux refers to the total amount of light emitted from a light source.

inFlux is an LED module that provides an optimal solution for industrial lighting and is expected to replace existing industrial fluorescent lamps and high-power package modules. Industrial lighting, typically used in factories, large warehouses, and indoor parking lots, requires high luminous flux and high reliability because it is positioned at high ceilings.

'Influx' employs a mid-power package (LM301A) utilizing Samsung Electronics' proprietary flip-chip technology, and is a product with improved luminous efficiency and price competitiveness compared to modules using high-power packages. In particular, it is characterized by enhanced light uniformity, which allows light to spread evenly by minimizing the 'darkness phenomenon' between LED light sources. In addition, it has lower thermal resistance than products using existing mid-power packages and enables high current driving, making it suitable for high-luminous flux products.

※ Flip Chip Technology: A technology that attaches the electrodes of an LED chip directly to a substrate, eliminating the need for metal wire connection structures during LED package manufacturing.
※ Light Uniformity: Refers to the difference in brightness on a light-emitting surface. The higher the light uniformity, the smaller the difference between the minimum and maximum illuminance values, making the light-emitting surface appear to have uniform brightness.

Influx linear modules feature a total of six lineups distinguished by length and luminous flux, and by combining each model, desired designs and luminous flux (6,000lm to 40,000lm) can be realized, enhancing convenience for lighting customers.

Samsung Electronics not only guarantees a 10-year lifespan but also supports customers manufacturing lighting fixtures with this product by collaborating with major global certification bodies to reduce certification costs and shorten the time required.
