SLE77 Security Chip Acquires China UnionPay's "Security Product Certification" and
Winner of the Best Product Innovation Award from China Financial Computerization Magazine

Chip-based payment solutions are easier to use than magnetic cards and provide safer data security. In 2015, China recorded the highest growth in the world in terms of the issuance volume and transaction value of chip-based payment cards. Infineon Technologies (Korea CEO Seung-soo Lee)’s SLE77 security chip obtained the "China UnionPay Security Product Certification."

China UnionPay (CUP) is a Chinese bank card organization established with the approval of the State Council and the People's Bank of China. China UnionPay plays a pivotal role in the development of China's bank card industry and is responsible for verifying secure payment cards and issuing certificates.

In addition, Infineon's SLE77 security chip won the "Best Product Innovation Award" from China's Financial Computerization (FC) magazine, selected by a panel of independent industry experts. FC Magazine is a specialized financial industry publication issued by the Financial Computerization Corporation, an affiliate of the People's Bank of China.

In China, the SLE77 is widely integrated into cards issued by various financial institutions, including major state-owned banks, joint venture commercial banks, and rural credit unions.

The SLE77 series has obtained certification under internationally recognized security standards such as Common Criteria (CC) and EMVCo. The SLE77 series is ideal for multi-application and JAVA-based operating systems. In addition, Infineon's innovative CoM (Coil on Module) packaging technology significantly simplifies the production of dual-interface cards and improves card production yield and reliability.

In addition to smart wearable solutions, the SLE77 series plays a significant role in the global smart transportation ticketing sector. It supports over 100 million end users daily in major Chinese cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, and is also used in Spain, the UK, Korea, Brazil, and other countries.
