Incorporating efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions during the product manufacturing process

Toshiba published the English edition of the '2015 Toshiba Semiconductor/Storage Environment Report' today, an annual report on Toshiba's environmental policies, measurements, and activities.

The 2015 report contains various activities conducted during the 2014 fiscal year. As a core part of environmental management efforts toward building a sustainable society, the report covers environmental impact reduction and efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions during the production processes of semiconductor and storage products. The report also includes environmental assessments of semiconductor and storage products during the design and development phases, as well as environmental communications conducted at each manufacturing site.

The 'Introduction' section of the report describes Toshiba’s Semiconductor and Storage Products Division’s efforts to preserve biodiversity. It introduces community-based programs developed by Iwate Toshiba Electronics Co., Ltd. and Kaga Toshiba Electronics Co., Ltd. It also includes a 'Biodiversity Conservation Map' that allows you to see at a glance the various activities carried out at production sites around the world.
