Toshiba Launches Pre-sales for External Hard Drives Equipped with USB Type-C Adapters

Toshiba will begin pre-sales of its upcoming new product, the 'CANVIO Premium' external hard drive, for the first time in the world starting on the 4th.
The pre-launch event, featuring limited quantities, is held at a special discounted price prior to the official release, and all buyers will receive a free external hard drive storage pouch. In addition, customers who write a photo review after purchase will receive an extra smart power bank.
Toshiba's ambitious new model, the 'Canvio Premium,' is an upgraded version of its predecessor, the 'Canvio Connect 2,' and its most significant features are the newly adopted luxurious metal body design, security functions (Password Protection), and a USB Type-C adapter.
The 'Canvio Premium' enhances the luxurious appearance with a product body made of specially coated metal and a diamond cutting technique applied to the top frame to maximize the metallic feel.
In particular, while conventional metal materials offer a luxurious feel, their drawback is that they easily show fingerprints; however, 'Canvio Premium' features a special matte coating that not only prevents fingerprints but also protects against corrosion or discoloration caused by everyday scratches or foreign substances.
In addition, it comes pre-installed with data security software called 'Password Protection,' allowing you to safely protect personal and business information by setting passwords, and guarantees the industry's longest 3-year free warranty.
Toshiba stated that the pre-sale offers various benefits and is an opportunity to be the first in the world to experience the Canvio Premium external hard drive.
The pre-sale event for 'Canvio Premium' will be conducted through open marketplaces (Gmarket, Auction, and 11st), and products purchased through the pre-sale are scheduled to be shipped sequentially starting February 15, after the Lunar New Year holidays. The official launch date of 'Canvio Premium' is expected to be around the end of February.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation.
