EMC Korea has unveiled 'VxRail,' a new hyper-converged infrastructure product. With the launch of VxRail, announced jointly with VMware, EMC has completed the industry's broadest converged infrastructure portfolio—including vBlock, VxBlock, and VxRack—and now provides virtualization infrastructure capable of handling all workloads regardless of scale.

VxRail is a simple and cost-effective hyper-converged solution capable of handling a wide variety of applications and workloads. As an appliance that enables the easiest, fastest, and most complete implementation of VMware's Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) environment, it integrates virtualization software with servers, storage, and data protection functions within a single system. Because these diverse resources can be managed with unified support from EMC and EMC partners, it not only simplifies IT operations but also enhances agility.

In addition, you can use EMC's powerful data management solutions, such as deduplication, compression, replication, and cloud tiering, at no extra cost, and it includes VMware's latest solutions, such as the server virtualization solution vSphere, the management solution vCenter Server, and the storage virtualization solution Virtual SAN. Another strength of VxRail is its flexibility, enabling uninterrupted scalability from a small number of virtual machines (VMs) to thousands. Consequently, it is suitable for core business operations in mid-sized and small enterprises, as well as unit and branch operations in large corporations. In particular, the all-flash model launching in the second quarter offers a flash array with more than twice the density of competitors' hyper-converged products, allowing for a selection of up to 76 TB.

In addition, VxRail provides integrated EMC mission-critical data services, such as replication, backup, and cloud tiering, at no extra cost.
