Heat dissipation combined with the booster effect, improving processor performance by up to 51%

ASUS, one of the top three consumer laptop brands, has launched the 'ROG GX700,' the latest addition to its gaming laptop line, ROG (Republic Of Gamer). First unveiled at last year's International Consumer Electronics Show (IFA), the ROG GX700 has captured the industry's attention and is ASUS's signature product featuring functions beyond imagination, such as the world's first liquid-cooled docking system and a stunning design.

The ROG GX700 is equipped with Intel's latest 6th generation (Skylake) Core™ i7 processor as standard, up to 64GB of RAM with four built-in DDR4 slots, NVIDIA GeForce GTX980 GDDR 8GB, Intel HD Graphics 530, and a liquid cooling docking system, incorporating the best technology available in all areas including graphics, speed, and sound.

The most eye-catching feature is the liquid-cooled docking system, which dissipates heat while maximizing the laptop's capabilities, much like having a booster installed. When the liquid dock is connected to the rear, processor performance improves by up to 51%, memory by up to 31%, and graphics by up to 48%. The overclocking (increasing the CPU's operating speed above the standard value) function also increased by 43% from 14,000 to 20,000 in the 3D Mark 11 test results, and CPU performance also increased by 43%.

The coolant used in the water-cooled docking system is formulated with a specially designed organic acid inhibitor that minimizes chemical reactions. This prevents corrosion of docking systems made of materials such as aluminum, iron, steel, and copper alloys, while minimizing the hassle of checking the inhibitor and coolant status.

The ROG Command Case, specially designed to accommodate a laptop and a cooling dock, is also available. This rugged case features a foam liner to safely protect the laptop from bumps and scratches during transport.

4K UHD panel, Sonic Studio and Sonic Radar sound

In the graphics section, a UHD panel with 4K resolution is combined with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology. G-SYNC synchronizes the GPU with the screen refresh rate to resolve screen lag, tearing, and distortion without affecting overall system performance, thereby creating an optimal gaming environment.

The audio capabilities also maximize realism through ASUS Sonic Studio and Sonic Radar. Sonic Studio supports not only high-quality gaming audio but also enhanced streaming and recording, perfectly identifying voices and reducing unwanted noise. Sonic Radar shows the location of gunshots, footsteps, and various in-game sound effects directly on the screen, allowing you to prepare for sudden attacks in advance.

Extensive connectivity and game optimization features added

In addition, the ROG GX700 offers both Intel Thunderbolt 3 and USB Type-C, providing extensive connectivity with various devices. The built-in Intel Thunderbolt technology supports signal transmission rates of up to 40Gbps, which is four times the bandwidth of USB 3.1 and single-cable data.

ASUS's 'Game First III' technology has also been added, optimizing it for gaming by recognizing what the user is doing and adjusting network flow accordingly. It assigns priorities to network packets to elicit the fastest possible response, tailored to the nature of games where victory or defeat is decided in a mere 0.1 seconds.

To celebrate the launch of the ROG GX700, ASUS is holding an event from February 17 to March 21 of the following month to give away the PC online game 'Tom Clancy's The Division' to ROG GX700 owners. If the buyer fills out a specific form and sends an email to ASUS Korea (ASUSKOREAEVENT@asus.com), the game code will be provided to the buyer.

"Through this product, which showcases the pinnacle of ASUS's technological prowess, we will open a new era of gaming laptops with features that go beyond imagination."

Meanwhile, according to market research firm GFK, ASUS has ranked first in global gaming laptop market share for eight consecutive years and also took the top spot in the domestic gaming laptop market in 2015 with a 40% share. Starting with the launch of the ROG GX700, ASUS plans to continuously increase the brand awareness of ROG.

The ROG G series laptops are leading the gaming laptop market, with seven models (ROG G501, G551, G56, GL552, G750, G752, GL752) released last year alone, including the ROG G752. The ROG G501 is the thinnest ultra-portable gaming laptop in its class, characterized by a design that allows users to fully enjoy gaming on the go. The G551 and G56 series are equipped with the highest-end Intel® Core™ i7 processors required by the latest games and feature NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics, delivering enthusiast-level high performance.
