Ansys Korea held the '2016 Ansys Korea Media Briefing' on March 9, solidifying its position as a market leader by presenting the current status and outlook of the domestic CAE market along with the announcement of the new product 'Ansys 17.0'.

Recently, the development and utilization of engineering simulation software have been attracting attention as part of domestic manufacturing innovation strategies. In 2015, the domestic CAE market size was approximately 214 billion KRW, growing 16% compared to the previous year, and its scope of application is gradually expanding from large corporations to small and medium-sized enterprises. Ansys Korea has maintained a firm advantage, holding the number one market share for three consecutive years from 2013 to 2015 with a market share of approximately 45% in 2015 since entering the domestic CAE market.

Furthermore, as the Internet of Things (IoT) business gains momentum, simulation software capable of engineering the high-performance electronic equipment and systems that comprise it is emerging as a key element. Ansys' simulation solutions are continuously contributing to the growth of relevant industries through their high versatility, accuracy, and efficiency, being utilized in the design of embedded software for the Internet of Things (IoT), as well as in aerospace, automotive, energy solutions, medical devices, and microelectronics.

Ansys Korea recorded sales of 95 billion KRW in 2015, growing by approximately 17% year-on-year, and aims for 10% growth this year. Recently, CAE is being utilized in new fields, extending beyond traditional single domains such as fluid dynamics, structural engineering, and electromagnetics. Accordingly, Ansys’ Multiphysics solution, which enables the simultaneous analysis and evaluation of various factors affecting products, is rapidly expanding, particularly among existing users. Furthermore, Ansys is enhancing customer trust and satisfaction not only by supplying products but also through service-based support, including consulting, training, and technical assistance.

Ansys 17.0, released earlier this year, provides comprehensive chip-package-system design workflows and close integration with semiconductor and electronics simulation solutions, as well as new capabilities for automated thermal analysis and integrated structural analysis. In addition, it introduced new innovative technologies, such as reducing analysis time by up to 85% in the fluid dynamics field without sacrificing accuracy, and has significantly improved productivity, accuracy, and usability.

In addition, on March 15, we will hold the 'ANSYS R17 Version Up Seminar' to introduce the new product and its features to customers. In this way, Ansys plans to accelerate its efforts to capture the domestic CAE market this year through active customer support and the launch of Ansys 17.0, a next-generation engineering simulation solution that supports customers' innovative product development and productivity improvement in response to changes in the market environment, materials, and new industry trends.
