Sennheiser has released the 'HD 800 S' headphones, which are one step closer to perfect sound.

The HD 800 S inherits the proven transducer technology and ear cup design from the HD 800, and is characterized by more refined sound in the mid-range and bass. In addition, Sennheiser has elevated the product to the next level by upgrading the HD 800 S's cable to a Balanced XLR4 cable and introduced changed colors, including ear cups finished in premium matte black.

Since its release, the HD 800 has been consistently loved by music and audiophiles for its outstanding performance, including clean highs, clear bass, and crisp sound boasting a frequency response of 4 to 51,000 Hz, and it holds numerous awards. The HD 800 S features innovative absorber technology first introduced in the IE 800, delivering sound that surpasses its predecessor. This patented technology neutralizes a phenomenon commonly known as the "mask effect." This degrading sound quality prevents the perception of highs at low volumes while simultaneously blocking the perception of loud sounds in the low-frequency range. The HD 800 S's absorption technology absorbs energy resonance to prevent unwanted peaks in the frequency response and reproduces even the subtle nuances of music across all frequency bands.

The unique transducer system featured in the HD 800 serves as the core technology of the HD 800 S, reproducing delicate sound. This transducer measures 56mm, the largest size among existing dynamic headphones. Despite the size of this transducer, Sennheiser's proprietary diaphragm utilizes an innovative ring design to minimize distortion prone to occur at high frequencies, maintaining a total distortion rate of less than 0.02%.

The earcups are also specially designed to deliver sound waves to the ears at an angle, providing a natural and spacious soundstage. Like the HDVD 800, Sennheiser's HD 800 S has been upgraded with a Balanced XLR4 cable to ensure excellent sound quality.
