Speed recognition and inter-vehicle distance calculation enable advance notice of collision risk

Telit announced today that it is supplying its 'SL869 V2' to 'OPTIAN', which combines ADAS specialist PLK Technology's advanced driving system and high-spec black box.

Telit's GNSS module-equipped PLK aftermarket product 'OPTIAN (OPTIAN)' is a product combining an advanced driver assistance system and Full HD resolution video black box. By implementing lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and forward vehicle start notification functions, it is a next-generation product that elevates the functionality of black boxes, which were primarily used for post-processing, to a level of accident 'prevention'. OPTIAN receives speed information through Telit's 'SL869 V2' GNSS module and is implemented to pre-notify collision risks by calculating speed and inter-vehicle distance.

The Telit SL869 V2 module used in OPTIAN supports GPS, QZSS, and GLONASS, and also supports Galileo and Compass/Beidou. It is characterized by easy integration and excellent battery life, and is a module that can be mounted on vehicles, various industrial equipment, wearable devices, telematics applications, and more. By simultaneously tracking GPS and GLONASS and receiving accurate positioning information, it provides high reliability to navigation applications.
