Lenovo Korea Begins Sales of Premium 2-in-1 Laptop Supporting Active Pen
Published2016.03.22 17:04Lenovo Korea (CEO Yong-Nam Kang) announced that it will begin full-scale sales of the ThinkPad X1 Yoga (hereinafter X1 Yoga), one of the premium professional PC lineups in the X1 FAMILY, starting today.
The X1 Yoga (14-inch) is a premium 2-in-1 convertible laptop that ensures business continuity. Made of carbon fiber, it boasts strong durability despite its thickness of 1.67 cm and weight of 1.27 kg. This carbon fiber is satellite-grade, which is stronger than the materials used in racing cars and aircraft.
In addition, this product features a 360-degree rotating display that allows it to be utilized in four different modes—laptop, tablet, tent, and stand—depending on the usage environment. It is characterized by a lift-and-lock function that protects the keyboard by preventing typing errors and foreign substances when the top panel is tilted more than 180 degrees, and a liquid spill prevention feature that can withstand up to 500ml at a time.

The X1 Yoga is equipped with Intel's latest 6th generation Core i7 vPro processor (codename: Skylake) and comes with Windows 10 Pro, boasting excellent performance. Along with a Full HD (1920x1080) or WQHD (2560x1440) IPS display, 16GB of DDR3 memory and up to 1TB of PCIe NVMe PCIe SSD provide an environment optimized for business, while a battery lasting up to 11 hours enhances mobility.
The X1 Yoga is equipped with an Active Pen that automatically charges when stored. Combined with Lenovo WRITEit software, the Active Pen delivers a rich multimedia experience. It allows you to write anywhere input is possible and features smart word suggestions and automatic typo correction. With just 15 seconds of charging, the pen provides up to 100 minutes of use, making it suitable for mobile work environments. Additionally, it recognizes 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity, making it useful for creative tasks.
Kang Yong-nam, CEO of Lenovo Korea, stated, “The X1 Yoga combines the characteristics of the Yoga brand with the Think brand, which achieved the milestone of selling 100 million units for the first time, resulting in a product that offers both powerful performance and diverse usability. Based on this, we expect it to provide business continuity to domestic corporate users and boost work productivity.” He added, “As the world’s No. 1 PC company, Lenovo will continuously strive to provide even more differentiated value to corporate customers.”
The ThinkPad X1 Yoga, which was unveiled at the recent domestic launch event for the X1 Family, is currently available for purchase at the official Lenovo online store and open marketplaces such as Auction, Gmarket, and 11st. Additionally, if you enter the X1 Family Grand Launch Event, which runs until April 30, you can win an X1 gold bar weighing up to 5 don of pure gold through a raffle.
