DTS Provides 3D Sound Technology to MediaTek's Latest Smartphone Processors
Published2016.03.22 17:25DTS, a specialist in HD audio technology and solutions, announced that it has applied its spatial sound technology, DTS Headphone:X, to the Helio X20 processor, the latest flagship smartphone chip released by mobile device chip manufacturer MediaTek.
DTS Headphone:X is a technology that enables users to experience perfectly immersive 3D sound through headphones and earphones, allowing them to enjoy games, movies, and music with lifelike sound on their smartphones. Additionally, the application of system-level technology allows users to easily access each feature of DTS Headphone:X in all applications through the smartphone's system settings menu.
With the inclusion of DTS Headphone:X technology, smartphone manufacturers are now able to provide users with the opportunity to experience perfect multimedia on mobile devices with enhanced visuals and audio. The sound quality of DTS Headphone:X technology has been further enhanced with a new processor's high-performance codec that provides a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 110 decibels.
