Toshiba Corporation’s semiconductor and storage products company announced that it is providing an IP subsystem jointly developed with MoreThanIP, an advanced communications solutions provider.

This solution consists of a 10 Gigabit Ethernet MAC (media access controller), PCS (physical coding sublayer), and high-speed SerDes (Serializer Deserializer) on a custom LSI platform including ASIC and FFSA™.



This IP subsystem runs a 4-lane XAUI or single-lane XFI interface that supports connections to multiple Ethernet PHYs and controller ASSPs (Application Specific Standard Products).

This IP subsystem, which supports PFC (Priority Flow Control) and implements high flexibility, is particularly suitable for data center and telecommunications applications.

Toshiba provides extensive custom LSI solutions by leveraging comprehensive expertise spanning from design to production. FFSA is a newly introduced flexible custom LSI solution equipped with pre-designed masters that provide configurable I/Os, SerDes, SRAM, and logic devices that can be customized according to customer requirements.
