Lenovo Korea (CEO: Yongnam Kang, www.lenovo.com/kr) announced that it will launch the ThinkPad X1 Carbon (hereinafter referred to as X1 Carbon) laptop equipped with Intel's latest 6th generation Core processor (Skylake). The X1 Carbon is a premium business laptop that is thinner and lighter, yet boasts strong durability thanks to the carbon material used in satellites.

The X1 Carbon delivers business continuity for mobile business users. It features up to a 6th-generation Intel Core i7 vPro processor, Windows 10 Pro, and an optional 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD, which is twice as fast as a standard SATA SSD. The battery lasts up to 11 hours on a single charge.

The X1 Carbon is available in a 14-inch form factor and is only 1.65cm thick and weighs 1.18kg. However, it is made of carbon fiber, a cutting-edge material of the same grade as satellites, making it thin yet extremely durable. The X1 Carbon is equipped with a keyboard that has passed the ThinkPad spill-proof test, withstanding up to 500ml. It has passed 12 military-grade durability tests, including thermal shock tests ranging from -20 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius, so you can use your laptop without worry in any environment.

The X1 Carbon boasts the security and durability expected of a business laptop. It features a fingerprint reader, enhanced security with Intel security features and vPro options, and the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for even more robust encryption of sensitive information.

The X1 Carbon, which was previously unveiled at the domestic launch event for the X1 family, is currently available for purchase at Lenovo's official online store and open markets such as Auction, Gmarket, and 11st.
