LG Innotek (CEO Park Jong-seok) has set out to strengthen the competitiveness of its partner companies.

On the 6th, the company held the 'Shared Growth Academy' at the Gonjiam Resort in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do, inviting approximately 130 representatives and executives from partner companies. The event was organized to support the strengthening of partner companies' management capabilities and featured lectures by experts in various fields, including law and economics.

This year, LG Innotek, in collaboration with the Korea Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Medium, and Small Enterprises, further strengthened its curriculum in areas of shared growth, including mutual growth initiatives. Additionally, to enhance the practical application of the training, on-site group discussions were newly established between purchasing department heads from each business sector and partner companies.

On this day, Lee Jeong-hwa, Head of the Cooperation Foundation, presented the necessity of shared growth and examples of CSV (Creating Shared Value) for sustainable growth.

Next, Kook Shin-wook, Deputy Director of the Cooperation Foundation, introduced the SME Commercialization Technology Development Project. Under this project, SMEs develop technology on the premise of purchase by large corporations, and the SMEs receive partial funding for development costs from the large corporations and the Small and Medium Business Administration. Through this, large corporations can overcome the difficulties of securing technology, and small and medium-sized enterprises can reduce the burden of development costs.
In addition, a lecture was held by So Byeong-cheol, former Chief Prosecutor of the Daegu High Prosecutors' Office, emphasizing the importance of compliance management, and a special lecture on the '2016 Global Market Outlook' was delivered by Cho Young-moo, a research fellow at the LG Economic Research Institute. The presentation of detailed status reports, including specific legal application cases, growth rates by major countries, and risks, received a strong positive response from the attendees.

Group discussions were also held between LG Innotek purchasing department heads and partner companies regarding the educational content. At this session, LG Innotek gathered various opinions from partner companies regarding shared growth activities. Lee Jong-jin, CEO of KOREN Co., Ltd., who attends the event every year, said, “The Shared Growth Academy is very helpful as it allows us to re-examine our company’s strategic direction and find ways to cooperate with LG Innotek.”

Cho In-guk, Senior Vice President of Purchasing at LG Innotek, stated, “The competitiveness of our partners is LG Innotek’s competitiveness,” adding, “We will take the lead in establishing a culture of shared growth by actively promoting mutual growth activities with our partners.”

Last January, LG Innotek signed a 'Fair Trade Agreement' with over 100 partner companies and is operating win-win support programs in various fields such as finance, management, and education. Meanwhile, in March, the company took active steps to create a win-win ecosystem, including signing the 'LG Fair Trade Agreement' with 977 partner companies in collaboration with eight LG Group affiliates.
