Samsung Electronics Launches 360-Degree Rotating Laptop with Work Efficiency and Portability
Published2016.04.12 19:59Samsung Electronics has launched the 'Samsung Notebook 9 Spin' (hereinafter Notebook 9), a 2-in-1 notebook that combines the advantages of both a notebook and a tablet PC.
The Notebook 9 features a 360° rotatable touchscreen display that allows it to be used in four modes—laptop, stand, kiosk, and tablet—by changing the screen orientation. The secret lies in the 'dual hinge design,' which consists of two parts that allow for 360° rotation, enabling the device to be used in basic laptop mode for writing documents, kiosk mode for watching multimedia, stand mode for video calls, and tablet mode while on the go.
In addition, it is equipped with a 33.7cm (13.3-inch) ultra-high resolution QHD+ display (3200x1800), and offers a 'Real-time HDR' function that adjusts pixel brightness and contrast in real-time according to content, and an 'Outdoor Mode' that can switch from a basic brightness of 350 nits to a maximum brightness of 700 nits, allowing for consistently uniform image quality.
The Notebook 9 is designed to be slim with a weight of 1.3kg and a thickness of 14.9mm (0.59 inches), despite having high durability with a full metal body and not only work efficiency. The battery features proprietary 'Quick Charge' technology, allowing it to be fully charged within 90 minutes and used continuously for 10 hours on a full charge (based on MobileMark 07), making it easy to carry.
Meanwhile, through the “Samsung Electronics S Gold Rush, Celebrating 22 Consecutive Years of Domestic PC Sales No. 1” event, Samsung Electronics is giving away Hancom Office Neo, Easy Photo 3 VP Package, a Bluetooth mouse (black), and a premium pouch to customers who purchase the new Notebook 9 from April 6 to May 31.
The retail price of the 'Samsung Notebook 9 Spin (940X3L)' is 2,090,000 won, and further details can be found on the Samsung Electronics website.
