ASUS Unveils Large Number of New Products Reflecting 'Zen' Design Philosophy at Milan Design Week

ASUS is actively promoting its design values at the '2016 Milan Design Week,' held in Milan, Italy from the 12th to the 17th, by hosting an exhibition themed 'Glow of Life,' inspired by the harmony of Zen and the beauty of nature. In addition, it is introducing innovative new products inspired by ASUS's 'Zen' philosophy.
Inspired by the beauty of Zen and nature, the exhibition, themed "Light of Life," expresses ASUS's goal of maximizing the user's digital experience through innovative technology. Featuring a forest of light-filled wooden sculptures created by the ASUS Design Center, the exhibition utilizes light and color to create mesmerizing displays that allow visitors to interact with them via smartphone.
The ASUS Design Center equipped each wooden sculpture with a glowing sensor to represent the four seasons through different colors. Visitors can interact with the wooden sensors using a smartphone flashlight, and when light is applied, each color is immediately displayed and emitted by the sensor. The longer light enters the sensor, the more colors grow and spread.
Introduction of Zenbook Flip UX360CA, ROG GX700, etc.
The most eye-catching new product at this exhibition is the 'ZenBook Flip UX360CA,' which is set for domestic release. The UX360CA further maximizes the portability of the ZenBook, which features 360-degree rotation. With a thin thickness of 13.9mm, a light weight of 1.3kg, and 12 hours of usage on a single charge, it can be utilized in various ways, such as a laptop or tablet. Above all, its design value stands out with the application of the ZenBook's signature tapered wedge design, diamond-cut metal highlights, and a signature concentric circle finish.
The gaming laptop series 'ROG GX700' also received a lot of attention. The ROG GX700, the world's first liquid-cooled docking system, is garnering even more attention not only for its performance but also for its flashy and majestic design featuring an asymmetrical shape, plasma copper, sophisticated titanium, and lava colors.
In addition, the ROG GX700 is a laptop equipped with the best existing technology in all areas, including graphics, speed, and sound, featuring Intel's latest 6th generation (Skylake) Core™ i7 processor as standard, up to 64GB of RAM with four built-in DDR4 slots, NVIDIA GeForce GTX980 GDDR 8GB, Intel HD Graphics 530, and a liquid cooling docking system.
