Tektronix recently unveiled a new model of MDO oscilloscope that supports logic digital channels and 4 analog channels, now with RF logic capability as well. The product appears to have been developed to meet market demands, as the proliferation of mobile handheld devices has created a need to view logic, digital signals, and RF signals simultaneously on a single instrument.

During this interview, a demonstration was particularly shown analyzing PLL signals, where traditional analog signals, logic signals, and RF signals were time-synchronized, enabling easy analysis of both existing analysis aspects and new RF signals simultaneously. Tektronix Manager Woo Joon-hyung, who participated in the interview, stated that even users who previously used separate oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers can now easily analyze multiple signals on a single MDO series instrument. While currently used in various fields, he noted that wireless communication development in embedded systems, which requires viewing RF, logic, and analog signals, is particularly driving adoption in that sector.
The price range is positioned between mid-range and low-end based on the MSO4000 equipment platform, and is not considered high-end among oscilloscopes.
