Strengthening cooperation with global and local cloud storage vendors and service companies

Acronis (Country Manager Ho-ik Seo) announced that it is stepping up its efforts to capture the cloud data protection market by supplying its cloud data protection solution, 'Acronis Backup Cloud,' at a reasonable price and strengthening its channel partner support program.

Acronis announced that sales of its cloud data protection solution, 'Acronis Backup Cloud,' grew 800% year-over-year, receiving a great response from service providers and cloud resellers worldwide following the launch of a new cloud architecture and data protection platform last year and the announcement of a related partner support program.

Managed cloud storage recorded a growth rate of more than tenfold in the global market, and the number of installations on various devices was recorded as having increased by 800% compared to the previous year. In the Asia-Pacific region, the number of 'Acronis Backup Cloud' users increased by 200% year-over-year as of 2015, and the cloud business in the first quarter of 2016 grew by more than double compared to the second half of 2015.


Accordingly, Acronis’ key strategies to sustain the sales growth of cloud data protection solutions in the Asia-Pacific region include: strengthening cooperation with global and local cloud storage vendors and service providers; supporting the deployment of software-defined storage to allow for the addition of backup and recovery services as needed, tailored to the IT infrastructure conditions of each country; reinforcing channel partner support programs and continuously recruiting new partners; and supplying 'Acronis Backup Cloud,' which provides comprehensive data protection at a reasonable cost.
