HDMI standard developer David Lee expects embedded electronic connector 'Kiss Connector' to enter Korean market

Keyssa, a company specializing in non-contact high-speed data transmission, officially announced the establishment of a branch in Korea on the 1st. Keyssa’s opening of a branch in Korea is intended to expand its domestic customer base and respond to increasing demand, and demonstrates its firm commitment to the Korean market.
Kisa also appointed Jong-chan Moon as the new branch manager of the Korean branch. Mr. Moon will lead the Korean business and focus on maintaining close partnerships with domestic OEM and ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) partners.

“Korea is home to some of the world’s best designers and manufacturers of mobile, consumer electronics and computing products, which means there is significant opportunity for Kiss and Kiss Connectivity technologies in the Korean market,” said Dr. David Lee, HDMI standard developer and KISA board member. “Korea is one of KISA’s fastest-growing markets in Asia, and KISA will continue to work with Korean OEMs and ODMs to bring new and innovative technologies to the Korean market.”
KISS recently announced the commercialization of the Kiss Connector, a contactless solid-state system that supports high-speed transfer and streaming of large files between and within devices. The Kiss Connector is a solid-state-based embedded electronic connector characterized by its small size, low cost and low power. With the Kiss Connector, KISS is changing the way devices communicate with each other and presenting new possibilities for engineers to design devices in entirely new ways. In addition, OEM and ODM partners can utilize the Kiss Connector as a reference design.
CEO Moon Jong-chan is a veteran with over 20 years of experience in the domestic high-tech industry, and has recently led sales of HDMI and MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) targeting major domestic manufacturers. He also has a proven track record in securing local OEM and ODM partners and establishing connection technology standards.

An executive who retired after handling Samsung Electronics' LED business for a long time spoke with a tone that was almost grave. In fact, even without his remarks, it is something everyone agrees on that the domestic LED industry is facing difficulties.
