Obtained 'Zero Waste' eco-friendly certification

ASUS (kr.asus.com) announced that it has received the 'ECVP 2799' eco-friendly certification for 'Zero Waste' from UL Environment, an international safety standards organization in the United States. 'Zero Waste' is an eco-friendly resource circulation process that eliminates resource waste by suppressing waste generation and prioritizing the reuse and recycling of generated waste to minimize landfilling and incineration; it is an eco-friendly policy program for companies led by UL Environment.

ASUS's acquisition of this eco-friendly certification is drawing attention as it marks the first time a consumer IT company has achieved this in the global market. To create a sustainable future, ASUS is adopting an eco-friendly approach across all aspects of its business. In fact, the company is committed to the responsible use of resources at every stage, including design, distribution, and production. Furthermore, ASUS has consistently maintained its leadership in green technology, and accordingly, has developed the world's first lead-free, halogen-free motherboard as well as a halogen-free Full HD monitor.

Meanwhile, ASUS plans to further strengthen and expand its 'Green ASUS' initiative with the goal of increasing the recycling rate of waste and garbage to 90% by 2020.
