Won in 4 categories at the 'iF Design Award 2016'

Wacom announced that its LCD tablet and Smart Folio products achieved the feat of winning in a total of four categories at the 'iF Design Award 2016'.

Through winning in multiple categories at this design award, Wacom was highly recognized for its innovation across all fields. The four winning products are the digital note-taking device Bamboo Spark, the graphic pen tablet Intuos, the interactive pen for creative professionals, the touch LCD tablet Cintiq 27QHD Touch, and the business signature solution DTU-1141. These four winning products demonstrated excellence in design, quality, finish, and material selection, which served as the primary evaluation criteria for this award.

The Bamboo Spark product has won an iF Design Award, recognizing the value of its innovative spirit of challenge for new markets. The Bamboo Spark overcomes the dilemma between analog and digital methods, presenting a new approach to traditional yet new work environments from a macroscopic perspective. By combining analog ballpoint pens with digital inking technology, it offers the most convenient note-taking method of the 21st century, allowing users to save and edit handwriting or drawings.

The operating principle of the Bamboo Spark is to combine a traditional ink ballpoint pen with a smart pen and smart folio that incorporate Wacom's core digital inking technology. Handwritten notes and sketches can be edited in the Bamboo Spark app or Bamboo Paper and synchronized with the Wacom Cloud service.

The Bamboo Spark offers the convenience of a digital work environment alongside the traditional method of using pen and paper, making it the ultimate product for those who prefer a free and simple approach. The Wacom design team focused on a minimalist design to create a perfect and outstanding user experience, developing the hardware, apps, and cloud services accordingly. Users can convert content created in an analog manner using paper and pen into digital ink with minimal interaction.

Intuos Pen & Touch Tablet

The Wacom Intuos line received high praise from the judges for adopting an approach that provides customized solutions for specific target audiences, along with a new design. The Intuos Pen & Touch tablets consist of four models: Intuos Draw, Intuos Art, Intuos Comic, and Intuos Photo. Each model comes with free creative software and online training services. You can choose between two models, small and medium, and they come in three colors: white, blue, and black. The Intuos products, released in pen and pen & touch versions, offer an optional accessory kit for wireless connectivity.

It also includes a Touch Ring function to facilitate easy scrolling, zooming, and rotation. With a stand that allows for various angle adjustments, users can work comfortably and freely for extended periods.

The DTU-1141 LCD tablet, featuring a Full HD screen, boasts a stylish design and can be used efficiently tailored to the user environment.
