Printed electronics to accelerate next-generation solar power and displays: Domestic and international experts mobilize.

The printed electronics industry is a huge market expected to reach $30 billion in 2016, and is expected to grow rapidly in the future due to its potential applications in next-generation solar power and displays.
Although it has close ties to promising domestic industries such as displays, electronics, solar power, and OLED, and has potential, it is also an industry that requires the establishment of a differentiated strategy, as its global market share fell from 14.6% in 2007 to 9% in 2013.
Accordingly, the International Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Association (SEMI Korea) will hold the “2016 International Printed Electronics Conference (IPEC)” at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul on the 29th and 30th to look into the current status and future of the printed electronics industry.

This is the third year since the first one in 2014.IPEC has successfully established itself as a representative event for the domestic printed electronics industry with high interest and active participation from industry experts.
This two-day conference, which covers a wide range of emerging industries, including flexible, wearable, and sensor-focused Flexible/Printed/Hybrid Electronics applications, will feature 18 speakers. Most of the speakers are experts invited from global companies. The conference is expected to provide a practical forum for sharing insights into printed electronics technology, which is rapidly commercializing worldwide, as well as an opportunity for domestic companies to engage in in-depth discussions about the related printed electronics industry.
Keynote Address: "Growth and Potential of the Printed Electronics Market"
The conference will begin on the first day, the 29th, with an opening speech by Professor Seok Jun-hyung of Hanyang University, chairman of the Printed Electronics Advisory Committee (PEAC). The keynote speeches will then consist of a presentation on “Growth and Potential of the Printed Electronics Market” by Raghu Das, CEO of IDTechEX, and “Challenges of Printed Electronics Materials” by Junhyeok Cho, Research Director of Igjax.
Starting with this, lectures will be given by 15 speakers from GIS, LG Electronics, LPKF, NIST, SAES Group, Novacentrix, Merck, Samwha Capacitor, Wibrain, Ubiquitous Research, Jabil, Kateeva, HiDeep, and Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials over the course of two days.
This conference is hosted solely by SEMI Korea and sponsored by NovaCentrix, DuPont Korea, Kolon Industries, and Fujifilm.
