The '2016 Galaxy Tab A' is a tablet optimized for entertainment with Full HD (1920x1080) resolution and enhanced ease of use. The 'Galaxy Tab A' equipped with a 10.1-inch (255.4mm) WUXGA (1920x1200) display offers a 16:10 wide screen ratio, allowing users to enjoy entertainment content such as games and movies even more realistically.
Additionally, a function that gradually brightens the screen when turned on in dark environments has been applied to prevent glare. The '2016 Galaxy Tab A' also features a Quick Connect function that enables fast and easy connections with TVs and smartphones.
By connecting to a smart TV via Bluetooth, users can view content stored on the tablet on a larger TV screen conveniently, and conversely, TV content can be sent to and viewed on the tablet. Additionally, messages from smartphones such as KakaoTalk and Facebook Messenger can also be checked and used in real-time on the tablet.
The '2016 Galaxy Tab A' is equipped with Kids Mode so that children can also use it together. When Kids Mode is enabled, a safe usage environment for children is provided, and various content such as learning and games are available. The '2016 Galaxy Tab A' with an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera highlights upgraded camera functionality compared to previous models.
With HDR (High Dynamic Range) functionality, photos can be captured brighter and more naturally, and a Pro Mode is also supported that allows step-by-step adjustment of exposure (EV), sensitivity (ISO), and white balance. In addition, various camera functions such as panorama and continuous photo shooting are provided.
The '2016 Galaxy Tab A' with a modern and clean design features a slim thickness that enhances grip and portability. The separately purchasable book cover has a magnetic structure for convenient opening and closing, and can be adjusted to various angles depending on the situation such as Viewing Mode and Typing Mode.
The '2016 Galaxy Tab A' features 2GB of RAM and is equipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and 1.6 GHz octa-core processor. It features a large-capacity 7,300mAh battery, and storage can be expanded up to a maximum of 200GB via microSD card.
The '2016 Galaxy Tab A' is released in two versions: Wi-Fi and LTE. The Wi-Fi version is sold through Samsung Electronics' online store and online open markets at a factory price of 359,000 won. The LTE version can be purchased at Samsung Digital Plaza, Himart, E-Mart and other retailers at a factory price of 399,000 won. The color options are available in black and white.
