Toshiba Launches Low On-Resistance N-Channel MOSFETs

Toshiba Corporation's Storage & Device Solutions Company announced the launch of a compact package N-channel MOSFET for load switching in LED driver applications, including automotive instrument clusters, headlights, and LED TV backlights.
This product is the best-in-class model for low on-resistance.
As the use of energy-saving LEDs increases, demand for N-channel MOSFETs used as switches in LED drivers is also growing. To meet this demand, Toshiba has added two small-package MOSFETs with industry-leading low on-resistance to its product lineup: the 60V "SSM3K341R" and 100V "SSM3K361R."
The new product reduces heat dissipation due to turn-on loss by approximately 65% compared to Toshiba's previous product. The MOSFET uses a compact SOT-23F flat package, which maintains the same level of heat dissipation while reducing the footprint by approximately 64% compared to the conventional SOT-89 package. The product is AEC-Q101 qualified, making it suitable for automotive applications.

DDR3 SDRAM 컨트롤러 코어(DDR3 SDRAM Controller Core)는 ARM AMBA AXI, 멀티포트, 리오더링(reordering), ECC, 메모리 테스트 지원 등의 추가 코어 풀옵션을 통해 고대역 지원을 지공한다.

SCCG for restoring receiver sensitivity of Toshiba wireless connection ICs
도시바 코퍼레이션(Toshiba Corporation)이 무선 연결 IC의 수신기 민감도를 복구하는 SCCG(spur canceled clock generator)를 개발했다. SCCG는 클럭 신호로부터 생성되는 간섭인 스퍼(spur)를 억제함으로써 수신기 민감도를 복구하고 블루투스 스마트 IC(Bluetooth® Smart ICs)의 모든 채널에 대해 -93 dBm의 수신기 민감도를 달성했다. 도시바는 이에 대해 6월 15일 하와이 호놀룰루에서 열리는 국제 반도체 디바이스 컨퍼런스인 VLSI 회로 심포지엄 2016(VLSI Circuits Symposium 2016)에서 발표할 예정이다.

Toshiba Develops Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Protection Device
도시바 코퍼레이션(Toshiba Corporation)(이 아날로그식 파워 반도체 애플리케이션용 정전기방전(ESD) 보호 디바이스를 개발했다. 이 디바이스는 첨단 0.13μm 프로세스 기술로 제작됐으며 트랜지스터 구조를 최적화하고 ESD 특성을 현저히 개선해준다. ESD 보호 역량은 4배까지 증가해 훨씬 더 견고해졌으며 표준 편차는 기존 디바이스의 1/12밖에 되지 않는다. 도시바는 3D 시뮬레이션 분석을 통해 ESD 강도를 활성화하는 트랜지스터 구조 최적화 메커니즘을 파악했다. 도시바는 이런 내용을 2016년 6월 14일 체코에서 열린 국제 반도체 심포지엄인 “ISPSD2016"에서 발표했다.
