Winner of the Outstanding Solar Project category at the world's largest solar exhibition, 'Intersolar Awards 2016'
Unveiled 'Conext SmartGen,' the First Solar Inverter with Cloud Connectivity

Schneider Electric (Korea Representative Kim Kyung-rok) announced that it was selected in the Outstanding Solar Project category of the 'Intersolar Awards 2016,' the world's largest solar exhibition, in recognition of its contribution to improving education and citizen health in Nigeria through solar power generation.

This project was carried out as a joint venture between Schneider Electric and Africa Energy under the plan of the UK Department for International Development and the government of Lagos State, Nigeria, with the goal of supplying solar power to public institutions in Nigeria.

In this project, Schneider Electric selected 172 schools and 11 public health centers in a region of Nigeria where widespread power outages are prevalent due to unstable power supply, and provided solar energy and storage. Through this, he was recognized for his contribution in enabling 24-hour delivery surgery and stable operation of science and computer classes.

In addition, at 'Intersolar 2016', the world's largest solar exhibition where this awards ceremony was held, Schneider Electric showcased a wide range of new solar products, including 'Conext SmartGen™', 'PV Hybrid' solutions, and the 'Conext™ CL-60 String Inverter'.


Large-scale Inverter System 'Connext SmartGen' >

The flagship product, 'Connext SmartGen™', is a 1500V large-scale inverter system with cloud connectivity designed to deliver 2 MVA of power over 30 years.

It independently records and stores the history of operations and even provides self-diagnosis. The SmartGen Inverter is the core of the Power Ecosystem™ software solution package, which consists of Connext™ Viewer, Connext™ Power Cloud, Connext™ Advisor 2, and Power Plant Controller. Utilizing the Internet of Things, it enables remote operators, staff, and financial analysts to have authority over central control and monitoring, data analysis, and predictive maintenance, thereby supporting optimal operations.
