1.7A~4A lineup of 2.54SOP4/2.54SOP6 packages

Toshiba Corporation Storage & Electronics Company announced that it has released high-current control photorelays with a current range of 1.7A to 4A in small 2.54SOP4/2.54SOP6 packages.

Shipments of this product family (TLP3106, TLP3107, TLP3109, TLP3127) will begin immediately, and new lineup application products include programmable logic controllers (PLCs), battery management systems (BMS), and factory automation inverters.

The new photorelay utilizes Toshiba's latest generation trench MOSFETs (Oxide-Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors) to handle high-current control equivalent to that of mechanical relays. The advantages of photorelays include lower noise and no damage caused by contact wear compared to mechanical relays that use mechanical contacts.

For the new 2A TLP3109, using the 2.54SOP6 package allows for a reduction in mounting volume by approximately 40% and product height by approximately 50% compared to Toshiba's conventional DIP package. Its small size enables mounting on the back of a printed circuit board, contributing to the miniaturization of the set. Additionally, this lineup includes products with a terminal voltage (blocking voltage) of up to 100V to be used in various applications.
