Samsung SUHD TV will provide the best picture quality for sports competitions this summer

Samsung's quantum dot SUHD TV has proudly earned its place as the 'Best TV for Watching Sports' in the United Kingdom.

HDTV Test, a UK-based review specialist, recently selected four Samsung quantum dot SUHD TV models as the top-ranked TVs for watching sports, and recommended these products to consumers considering TV purchases ahead of various sports events this summer.

HDTV Test evaluated that "when watching fast-moving sports such as basketball and tennis, it is most important to choose a TV that displays motion clearly without blur," and explained that "Samsung SUHD TV showed the clearest motion among all TVs we tested."

Additionally, "on background screens where uniform colors spread out, such as a soccer field, color unevenness becomes more noticeable, but Samsung SUHD TV has the most uniform picture quality," revealing the reason for selecting the SUHD TV as the top-ranked products.

HDTV Test also selected Samsung's quantum dot SUHD TV (KS9500) as a 'strongly recommended product' in its overall picture quality evaluation.

Meanwhile, according to a consumer survey conducted by Samsung Electronics in May targeting a total of 9,000 people across 10 European countries including the UK, France, Italy, and Spain, more than half of adult males (56.9%) answered that they are considering purchasing a new TV for important sports events this summer.

Additionally, in this survey, soccer emerged as the most favored sport, and the proportion of males watching soccer three or more times a week was highest in Italy (60.3%), Romania (53.8%), Spain (53.8%), and Germany (47.3%), while Sweden showed the lowest rate at 18.0%.

When watching soccer matches, consumers cited the biggest issues as difficulty in distinguishing between players (28.5%), difficulty seeing the ball when it flies high (21.5%), and TV screens being too small (9.8%).

Sung Il-kyung, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business Division, stated, "Quantum dot SUHD TV will deliver the best picture quality as if sitting in the stadium with vivid grass colors, striking uniforms, and deep images through quantum dot technology that expresses accurate colors and bright light."
