Altera, which participated in the Automotive Innovation Day (2016 Automotive Innovation Day) held on the 14th and hosted by Automotive Electronics, introduced its automotive solutions.

Altera, which has been investing in the automotive field for over 10 years, has supplied a cumulative 40 million PLD products to the automotive market (as of 2015).

Altera possesses SOPC (System on a Programmable Chip) with its own softcore Nios processor embedded in its FPGA and provides Cyclone V SoC with embedded Cortex-A9 core.

Altera has established a lineup ranging from MAX V, its low integration density CPLD product (40~2.2k LE), to Cyclone V, an SoC product (25k~110k LE) with embedded ARM Cortex-A9 processor core. By newly adding MAX 10 FPGA based on embedded flash process technology, the company is supplying a wide range of automotive-grade PLD products ranging from CPLD to FPGA and SoC.
