Mentor Graphics, which participated in the Automotive Innovation Day (2016 Automotive Innovation Day) event held on the 14th and hosted by Automotive Electronics, introduced its leading product portfolio in the automotive design tools and software sector.

Building on deep expertise in systems engineering, this product portfolio helps customers solve the industry's most complex design challenges. Solutions cover three key areas of automotive electrical and electronic design: connectivity and networking, in-vehicle experience, and subsystems and technologies.



Last December, Mentor announced the availability of two new tools that provide integrated electrical/electronic/software systems engineering capabilities for the transportation market. These new tools, Capital Systems Capture™ and Capital Systems Architect™, enable experts from different domains to collaborate and optimize electronic systems at the integrated platform level. Unlike other approaches, engineers from each domain do not need to know the detailed syntax of the other. This greatly simplifies the application of these new tools, allowing each domain engineer to focus solely on design innovation.

Mentor also announced the Mentor Automotive A2B Analyzer®, the industry's first third-party development platform supporting Automotive Audio Bus (A2B) technology from Analog Devices. As automotive design complexity continues to increase, OEMs and suppliers are challenged to integrate faster, more efficient technologies into vehicle architectures at lower system cost. Automotive Audio Bus technology reduces the cost and complexity of designing in-vehicle audio networks, and A2B Analyzer helps significantly reduce the development time of these systems.

Mentor previously launched the Mentor Automotive Connected OS™ software platform, targeting next-generation automotive applications. Building on its award-winning experience in delivering just-in-time production (SOP) deliveries, the Connected OS software provides a scalable framework for IVI, driver information systems, and ADAS applications. This automotive-grade platform accelerates time-to-market by addressing automotive-specific challenges at the operating system level.
