Seminar on Low-Cost, High-Efficiency IoT/Wearable Device Development Solutions
IT Conference to be held at the FKI Building on Friday, August 19

IT Conference (CEO: Kim Jeong-hee) will hold the "Low-Cost, High-Efficiency Development Technology Seminar" on August 19 (Fri) at the Ruby Room on the 2nd floor of the Federation of Korean Industries Building in Yeouido, where various solutions for reducing bills of materials will be presented, ranging from foundry companies to chip solutions and connecting fields.

As product competition intensifies in the global market, pressure to reduce time and costs—from conceptualizing basic designs for IoT and wearable devices to launching prototypes—is increasing. Consequently, there is a growing need for all-out efforts to achieve rapid market launch by reducing costs not only in prototypes but also in mass production.

To meet these demands, the adoption of software capable of simulating various design elements—ranging from analog and mixed-signal ICs to passive components, discrete semiconductors, power management ICs, and connectors to electromechanical components—is becoming increasingly important. Global companies that previously supplied only semiconductors are now showing a tendency to pursue solution businesses that include various software, such as development tools and reference kits.

BOM (Bill of Materials) programs, which enable circuit design to be easier, faster, and more productive, are also establishing themselves as one of the services offered by global solution providers. This program allows users to select desired product data and export all data into a spreadsheet in a user-specified format. It remembers and saves currency, format, RoHS options, and other settings, saving time for users when executing subsequent searches or product design proposals using customized searches.
