Guinness Book of World Records, the lightest laptop among 25 manufacturers released in 46 countries

LG Electronics' ultra-slim laptop 'Gram 15' has been recognized as the world's lightest 15-inch laptop and has been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. With this, the 'Gram 15' has once again been recognized for its unrivaled convenience.

On the 26th, the Guinness World Records recognized the 'Gram 15' as the lightest among 15-inch products released by 25 notebook manufacturers in 46 countries. The 'Gram 15' is ultra-light, weighing only 980g, which is equivalent to two grande-sized cups of coffee. Following the 'Gram 13' in 2013 and the 'Gram 14' in 2014, LG Electronics completed the ultra-light Gram series by releasing a 15.6-inch notebook weighing 980g early this year.

The ultra-light weight and thin design of the 'Gram 15' are receiving favorable reviews both domestically and internationally. The product swept global design awards, including winning the gold prize at this year's iF Design Award and the main prize in the visual appliance category at the Red Dot Design Award.

This year, it won the 'Best Innovation' award at the Human Engineering Design Awards, receiving recognition for its convenience and aesthetics. The judges praised the 'Gram 15', saying, "The slim design makes the overall image of the product stand out even more," and "It is an innovative product in both function and design."

It also received favorable reviews in the largest premium market, the United States. Slash Gear, a leading American IT media outlet, said, “It is a very thin and light product, perfect for everyday life.” PC World, a US IT media outlet, also said, “There is no lighter 15-inch notebook than this,” but also praised the excellent viewing angle of the IPS panel, bright screen, and long-life battery.

To celebrate its listing in the Guinness Book of World Records, LG Electronics is giving away various gifts to customers who purchase the 'Gram 15' at its stores nationwide during the month of August. It is giving away a software pack containing Intel's games and utilities and a 64-gigabyte (GB) large-capacity microSD memory.
